My youthful landscape paintings were really more portraits of specific houses in the West L.A. area. Only when I moved to Oklahoma and was welcomed into a gemütlich plein-air painting group did I discover the pleasure of alla prima landscape work. Nearly all of these paintings date from my Oklahoma days, from 1997 through 2005.
